It should be pointed out that these files can be in two states: (1) raw organization, usually with a spurious first record (due to a bug in Dave Taylor's transfer program), or (2) organized by work and movement, usually with the spurious record removed. In particular, most of the BACH (BG) files are of the second type. There are currently five formats planned for output: CCARH-format, Score-format, DARMS-format, Ho-Hum-format and MIDI-sound files. Each of these formats will require an "CONVERSION" program, which will take as input, the quasi-stage2 files and will produce output in the specified formats.
